During this instance, the research team welcomed the representatives of eight universities from four regions of the country in order to listen and discuss their experiences in the process of inserting gender policies in their respective universities.

"We were able to check whether our pre-diagnosis — which led to the critical points that we identified to carry out our research — was correct or not", explained Dr. Andrea Vera Gajardo — director of the Disonancias Project. "We were also able to find out if there may be other emerging conflict nodes that we are not yet considering in the project's lines of research", she added.

Although it was a closed meeting, the team is happy with the number of participants and is optimistic about the upcoming activities to be carried out. "This was the first of many meetings that we hope will be repeated at least once a year. We also hope that the upcoming events can be held in different cities and with more universities", Dr. Vera added.

The next event of Disonancias Project will be held on October 6 for its launch. "We will invite some of our foreign counterparts to present and talk at the event. We will also extend the invitation to those who joined us in this first meeting", she concluded.
