Disonancias Project Launches Results Presentation Events: First Meeting to Take Place in Antofagasta

Next Friday, November 7, the Universidad Católica del Norte will host the first Results Presentation Event of the Disonancias Project. This event is part of the closing activities of the project, after three years of research on the rise of feminist demands in higher education institutions in Chile.

The meeting in Antofagasta will be just the beginning, as this is the first of several dates where the Disonancias team will share the project’s results with the community. Upcoming events will be held in Valparaíso, Santiago, and Concepción between November 2025 and January 2026, with dates and times to be confirmed.

During these events, the Disonancias team will present findings, project materials, and transfer activities carried out during the project. These events are open to the general public, with a focus on university communities and individuals working in fields related to gender issues in universities.

“We believe it is essential to share the project’s findings with university communities and local authorities across different regions of Chile because, from the beginning, one of our main goals was to disseminate the project’s results. Moreover, throughout our research, we collected testimonies from various stakeholders involved in the process of gender institutionalization in higher education institutions nationwide. Therefore, it makes sense to hear their reflections now that this process has concluded,” says Andrea Vera-Gajardo, director of the Disonancias Project, highlighting the importance of reaching different cities across the country.
